>>> The City of Évora <<<

Évora is the historic capital of the Alentejo. The population is around 55'000, in an area of 1307 km2.

Due to its well-preserved old town centre, still partially enclosed by medieval walls, and many monuments dating from various historical periods, including a Roman Temple, Évora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, other place of interest are Sé de Évora (cathedral of Évora) and Capela dos Ossos (Chapel of Bones)
